Isn't UTF-8 plain-text? Correct me if I'm wrong, it is Unicode, yes, but it is also plain text. If someone had a character in his name, he'd have to use Unicode to display it. What we don't want is for mail to be encoded within html. Please correct me if I'm wrong about the unicode thing. I've been writing a parser to convert dumb text to unicode html all day long. That way, we I can post curly quotes and em-dashes to my website easily. em-dash: - hyphen: - These should look different, and work in everyone's mail readers. I don't know about Pine though.
