Richter's Applied .Net Framework book states on page 457 that small blocks of free space are never compacted by the GC. I've had a look through gcsmp.cpp in ROTOR, but can't find the threshold for this value. I've never seen any small blocks of free space in Allocation Profiler either. What is this threshold?
