Well, considering the fact that a bona fide beginner won't be struggling
with VB6 best practice issues, he won't ever really encounter that nuance.

Speaking as a VB6 programmer with a college education in OOP techniques
and a love of high-level typesafe languages and environments like
Objective-Pascal, NeXTStep, and Fortran, VB.NET took the best of those
worlds and actually made it easier for me to write BASIC programs. It's
very cool.
