Go and look at the default namespace property for your project.  (When you
create a project this will be the same name as the assembly by default.)
You can see this by right-clicking on the project (the project, not the
solution) in the Solution Explorer, and selecting Properties.  The Default
Namespace property is in the General section of Common Properties.

VS.NET will prepend whatever is set as the Default Namespace to all embedded
resources.  (Which is kind of annoying, but I don't know of a way of turning
this behaviour off.)  This is almost certainly the cause of the problem you
are seeing.
