I would like to create a square grid containing custom image controls 4 wide and 4 high, however just to complicate matters further I would like to load another control in the middle of the grid when a image control is clicked. My crude diagram below attempts to clarify this. The X's are the images controls and the 4 O's represent one larger control.

Any suggestions on the best way to achieve this will be gratefully received!
