I think the Lotus Notes UI is the look we should be aspiring to : ) What about putting your XML into a DataSet and databinding the elements to window forms controls? I am not sure how you want to transform it into a good looking UI.
Another option is to use XSLT files to transform it and show it in a browser control in your rich client. Ok, I am outta ideas officially...
