Hi, This is my first posting to this liost so excuse breaches of etiquette please.
I have trried to de-install/remove MS.NET after I renamed my computer in XP so the nodename was sensible. The remove locked up my machine and forced me to power off and on, a repat removed the entry from list and said it was only partly removed. Reinstallation failed with 'already installed!", so I dleted ASP.NET from the registry and loads of bit and pieces with the relant directory in them. Reinstall them went ok for a while. Files copied, install started, MOP? built and then my problem arose. Error 1904 Module c:\windows\Microsoft.net\Framework\v1.0.3705\mscordbi.dll failed to register. HRESULT -2147024894 Contact your support personnel. Can anybody tell me how to get out of this repeasted problem - happens every time and then install is unwound. "Abort" and "Ignore" seem to work the same! I can find no reference to mscordbi.dll in MSDN anywhere.
