Stop advertising your book!  I am sick of people answering questions by, it's in my 
book on page such and such.  If you don't want to answer the question, then fine, 
don't.

There is a complete example of a Service Control Program in my
book "Component-Based Development with Visual C#" in chapter 16. The
program uses a Windows Form-based UI to control the service. The service
shows its status with an icon in the Service Tray. By clicking on this
icon, a context menu appears, with options for controlling the service.
