DirectDraw has only been depreciated but deprecated too :). The replacement are the new DirectX Graphics interfaces, which supposedly combine DirectDraw and Direct3D. However the DirectXGraphics interfaces are a lot more complex, and they force a 3D model on you even if that's not what you want. So I think there'll be quite a few graphics programmers continuing to use DirectDraw anyway - it's a lot easier if you just want to do some fast BitBlt's - which is basically what a screengrab is. --------------------------------------------------------------- Simon Robinson http://www.SimonRobinson.com --------------------------------------------------------------- ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nick Wienholt" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, June 18, 2002 10:22 AM Subject: Re: [DOTNET] Screen capturing in dotnet > Hi Mitch, > > Not sure of the exact methods to call - I have set breakpoints at various > DirectDraw locations within ripping programs, and had the breakpoints hit > when an image was being captured.
