Thanks for the interest, Jeff. My book is focused on the C# language and a few select .NET BCL classes that I feel most people would naturually associate with the language. As an example, even though technically the exception classes are not a part of C#, I felt as though most people new to the language would expect something so basic to programming to be included. Therefore, I include chapters on topics such as file streaming, string handling, regular expressions, COM interop (both ccw and rcw in two separate chapters), and adding enumeration to your classes.
Here is a link to a very detailed table of contents: http://www.microsoft.com/mspress/books/toc/5861.asp#TableOfContents Please feel free to email me directly (mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]) with any questions you have. Kind regards, Tom PS: I do believe that Rick Leinecker's ASP.NET book covers what you're looking for here in terms of Web deployment. I know he does some cool stuff like data scraping and so on. I can call him and ask him if you wish. -----Original Message----- From: The DOTNET list will be retired 7/1/02 [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Jeff Roberts Sent: Tuesday, June 25, 2002 12:51 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [DOTNET] FileStream question Thanks Tom.
