Not to me when I tried it... The result was 0. In any case, the result
will be based on the formula applied, which is not what the OP's
question pertains to. My example focused on splitting the initial
number into individual digits in the unconventional way, demonstrated
the use of generic methods as well as the Converter Generic delegate.

I assumed that the -1 in "1701209041-1" was a typo. My code will not
accept anything other than digits in the "number" and will throw an
exception immediately.
