all i'm using VB .net. i'm going to call what i'm making an overlay
for lack of a better term. at start of application i launch a form
that asks about the spacing I would like and the level of
transparency. then you click the only button on the screen and poof
you have a grid over the entire primary screen.

the grid is a 100% transperent form with lines drawn on it set to the
users tranparancy level. all normal borders and buttons are hidden
and disabled. and the form is set to always on top. vb .net by default
passes all click events through 100% tranparent portions of a window.
my problem is that grid. i don't want this form to ever get focus or
to be clickable. if your wondering i added a task bar icon to close
the application.

when this thing works i will post it for everyone. i am making this
to help align buttons windows tabed script you name it.
