Hello all, I'm new to VB and am starting a project where I have to bring in historic weather data into a mysql database. The weather data can be retrieved via anonymous ftp spanning multiple files. What I would like to be able to do is create a VB application that will ftp into the server and download the necessary files automatically from a list that I have generated. The files are in this format # # # # # # - # # # # # # - # #.op.gz (i.e. 88493-53253-2007.op.gz) Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this and point me in the right direction. The data is from the NCDC ftp server ftp://ftp.ncdc.noaa.gov/pub/data/gsod/2007/
