I've actually experienced two problems with this upgrade:

I installed an upgrade from Visual Studio 2005 Pro to VS2008 Pro, and
when I select Data/Add New Data Source in VB the Data Source dialog
does not come up in the IDE.

Also, when I create a new ASP.NET website, I can drag the
SQLDataSource to the page I get the Add Connection dialog, and I can
successfully get a test connection, but when I click OK on that dialog
I get the error "Object reference not set to an instance of an
object."

Now I tried re-installing VS2008, uninstalling VS2005, then
reinstalling VS2008 all to no avail.

I should point out that with Visual Studio 2005 the Data Source dialog
works fine.
