Look in your 'messages' pane, you should always see something there. Hell, half the time my errors and warnings pane doesn't get refreshed. It either shows errors I've fixed, or doesn't show errors that appear in the messages pane. I've stopped looking at it at all, it's useless. I've said it before, I'll say it again. Microsoft is on a rapid downhill slide. I only use their products because people pay me to, at home I use Linux.
