Hi, I'm an operations analyst and I do a little bit of development with InfoPath forms and access databases, excel program development, etc and I have been looking at this certification kind of program called SetFocus and I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of it. It is pretty pricy - 19 grand - I can do it part time for like 6 months or something and they say they guarantee job placement where I can start out making 70 to 80 grand a year. I'm not sure whether I should do it or not. I have found some reviews on it, but most of the reviews I have found are rather old. I am a really fast learner - this summer I taught myself database design and visual basic and I want to step that up another notch so I can get a good job.
The program seems like it would be good because I make 45 k a year now. I don't want to downgrade that to get into IT - I would rather double it. :) But I wanted to see what the people who are actually doing hardcore IT and who are already developers, etc. think about this company or where I am at right now. Any advice/opinions are much appreciated. Thank you everyone.
