Sure it can, with a call to Dns.Resolve. :) Yeah, that's the only way. Even if you go and just put it manually in your hosts file, you still have to invoke the DNS to resolve a symbolic name into an ip address. "www.cnn.com" isn't an ip address, by any definition.
