Hello, I never heard about Smart Client.
But I got experience on designing compact framework, CF application. It can be run in PDA that use Windows Mobile, WM. It is in PocketPC, PPC or Smartphone devices. This is my restriction. There is a new features is Visual Studion 2008 that you can use SQL CE as database local cache. So, if you got online server. You can let user store some info into local device. Then when the user offline, they can modify in the local cache. Lately, when user back to online, they can sync to the live server. Feel free to ask me. I will able to consult you.
