This is obviously a glaring problem in your database design. It is not
a normalized design. I think you need to tell us more about the tables
in the database and how they map to entities in your system. Storing
12 different subject columns and another 12 marks columns is
definitely a big redundancy.

For example, if I had the following entities, I could construct
relationships in my database:

Tables:

1. Class
2. Subjects
3. Students
4. Marks

Relationships:

1. Class — Subjects (1 — N)
2. Class — Student (1 — N)
3. Student — StudentSubjects — Marks (1 — N — 1)
