Thanks for answering. Unfortunately it is a shareware that I am
writing, so I have no clue of end users monitor drivers nor their
interfaces. I need a generic way of getting the monitor on/off
status.

The link I provided in my first post seem to lead to a generic
solution for this problem in .Net 3.0, I need one in .Net 2.0 or
unmanaged though.

Is it really no solution for this?
