Hi all thank you for the reply.. as you said the connection string is
working fine.. and host name is also correct and i have also tried with ip
address of the server even.. and checked the firewalls also ... even
the problem repeats.. the operation system being used on the server which is
being connected is windows server 2008 and the operating system on client
machine is windows xp proffesional. is this might be the problem???
