Scraping is a common solution, but IMHO it should only be used when no
other options exist (You shouldn't need to ask why... it fails
miserably on the Performance, Availability and Maintainability
scales).

If you can use an RSS/XML data feed, it would be the best option for
you. If however, you must go with scraping, see this thread <http://
