I've got a page that is working on a virtual directory. The physical
path is 'D:\Download', and the virtual directory is 'download'.
When I put the path on a page, I'd like to use a URL. While the server
is in DEV, it is using and IP. Eventually, the site will make
production and use a domain. Examples:
' Server in PROD using domain
D:\Download\AAAAAAAA\aaa.aspx ->
http:\\www.example.com\download\AAAAAAAA\aaa.aspx
' Server in DEV using IP
D:\Download\BBBBBBBB\bbb.aspx ->
http:\\W.X.Y.Z\download\BBBBBBBB\bbb.aspx
I've seen some code on the web, but I feel like its a kludge and
suspect it might present a security problem. Does .Net provide any
functions?
