I am using Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition on a PC that runs Windows
Vista and has Excel 2007. I need to do VB.NET development that works
with Excel 2003.
The Excel 11.0 Object Library appears to be available under the
Windows Assembly folder ("Policy.
11.0.Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel"). However, when I go to My
Projects, click on the References tab, then the Browse tab, select it,
and click OK, nothing happens. It is not added as a Reference. This
is the Policy.11.0.Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.config file that
appears in the Browse window.
Anybody know how I can get to the actual dll file and add it as a
reference? It seems Vista may be "hiding" it as part of an
assembly.
Thanks, Alan
