You're only pretending to be working on ASP.NET 1.1, while actually writing classic ASP code. Anyone who uses Server.CreateObject invocations of the unmanaged CDO library in ASP.NET is just pretending to be a .NET developer. Anyone who uses the classes in the System.Net.Mail namespace (which may call CDO) is not into the pretending thing.
