Sravan, All joking around aside, what have you got so far for the project? Maybe someone could point you in the right direction if you show the code you have so we can see where you are going with this. If this is a class assignment and you are supposed to try to do this, start by asking your teacher this question.
Writing a data protocol analyzer is above my head, but if I were just starting to write one I would I would first Google (please say you have heard of Google). Sharing what you have tried and then asking for help makes it look like you are making at least some attempt on your end. Your current approach just makes you look lazy. And if you were at work and took the time to learn something complex, would you really want a lazy coworker to come to you and demand that you to show him the code you had to take the time to research?
