Ok, I have searched and searched and cannot come-up with what I need here. I have a requirement to begin monitoring events that come through my windows service. My application receives events in a db queue that can be any of 10 different types. When the each event is picked-up out of the event queue by my windows service I need to log the event time in and time completed and success or failure. This is all well and good with the log4net logs I have in place. However, we are now looking for a reporting solution to display these results and make them sortable, filterable, etc. Log4Net logs are not ideal for this purpose.
I have looked at several possible custom options including a custom Log4Net appender. However, they all seem a little cumbersome. I was hoping somebody had run accross something like this and may have some advice or point me in the direction of possible "Best Practices" or known patterns I may not be aware of. TIA! rbr
