Normally, I would prefer that such questions are asked in a separate
thread (marked "OT:" for Off-Topic).

1) You can top-post, bottom-post or inline post. There is no guideline
relating to this aspect and it's entirely up to you. Most newsgroup
clients default to bottom posting, though. The web interface of GG
defaults to top-posting.

2) Yes, you would include a link to the pastebin snippet.

3) Quoted text (which starts with an angular right bracket) is
automatically hidden when your post is listed in the archive.
