Hi

I have a website I've deployed and would like to publish a sitemap
with it to help with navigation, search engines etc. I've read web
articles on the subject but am confused on two matters.

1) .Net has the built in web.sitemap file it creates. Yet, when I
look at lots of other sites, including ones that say they are Google
friendly, they create a sitemap.xml file. Which one (or both) of
these is the correct file to have with the site?

2) Also, different articles say different things about where to store
the sitemap in the project. Some articles say to put the sitemap in a
public_html folder, while others suggest it should be in the root
directory. Any clues to which is correct?

Sorry if these questions are a bit on the novice side, but I
appreciate anyone's help.

Tom
