Should I post the final solution (DrawItem & SelectedIndexChanged procs)  to 
the newsgroup?
 
I am now retired but had been a systems/programming  consultant for over 40 
years.  This is the first 'language' I have come across (Assembler, COBOL, 
FORTRAN, etc.) where you really cannot pick a set of favorite commands and go 
from there.  There is so much in VB.NET.  I will say it is a pleasure compared 
to VBA where one has to write everything.

1. It's commendable that you posted the solution here because in all
probability, someone else will face the same problem and come
searching (and find this!).

2. Your comment about the vastness of VB.NET actually applies to
programming in most languages/frameworks. That is why there can be no
"experts" in this domain.
