Isnt there a way of evaluating a mapped drive as if it were a network
(UNC) path? I thought i remembered seeing a Microsoft namespace
structure for allowing access to that information, could be wrong.

@jtaylor,
  Without knowing the filepaths, only way to do so would be do a blend
of checksum and meta-data checks. Problem is: Even though the two
files maybe similar, they may not necessarily be the same. I would
portentially build a checksum of the two files based on Name (nopath),
Creation, Last Modified, and Size. If that the two file checksums are
the same, then you have 80-90% chance that the two files are the
same. Ultimately, there is no way of knowing 100% if the two files
are the same.

  Going forward, one little used aspect of every single File reported
(shown) by Windows (all version) are some extended properties (meta-
data) that can be utilized to create a situation where you can easily
handle this problem. But until such time as you utilize the meta-data
aspect of a file, there is no guaranteed approach to comparing two or
more files.
