Fire any disgruntled employees because they can destroy your backend
system and you would not know until it is too late.  Upset people
figure out how to stick it to the man all the time.

Seriously you make a SPROC for repeated use.  You may have to make 5
sprocs for this search because of the number of  potential columns you
allow the user to search.  Nobody said finding anything in the
database is an easy thing to give to a user.  It is actually very
hard.
