I've been trying to write some code to change the context under which a
SharePoint application is running. It's a custom application page with some
controls on it to allow the user to select an identity to run under. It's
bad practice I know, but it's simply for testing and nothing else. It would
save us oodles of time if we didn't need to come in as ourselves, go up
into the menu and click "Sign in as different user", type in the
user/password, then perform the same validation in the application (we do
this for an added level of security). I've tried using the LogonUser
windows API and it does successfully change the context, but only for the
method call. After returning to the browser it is still the currently
logged on user.

Any insight/help would be greatly appreciated.
