Hi .NET Gurus, I am working on a .NET client server application prototype but have stumbled on a very basic architecturel question. How do I decide on hosting of .NET remoting object? Should I go for hosting in a Managed executable/IIS or COM+) ?? ![]() 1) We can host a remoting object in a normal managed server process (for example, a console application process) which had it demerit, that the server side process needs to be started manually. 2) We can host the remoting object in a Service or IIS which overcomes the problem of manually starting the server process. It is okay until when the Question of hosting the remotable object in a COM+ Props Up !!! I don't have much Idea of COM+ services either and how can they be helpful in .NET remoting .......... Please help me out !!! Thanx in Advance, Saurab |
