Reasons could be …

 

  1. your button is having runat=server (and your are submitting thru _javascript_)
  2. since you are submitting thru _javascript_ make sure that your button type should not be submit type
  3. not controlling postbacks
  4. your button tag might contain two events onserverclick and also default server event handler

Hi All,

 

    In a button click i am calling a _javascript_ method. Inside the method im doing the following,

 

    <page1.aspx>

 

       frmObj = document.forms[0];

 

        winObj = window.Open("","wnd1","height=...");

 

        frmObj action = "">

 

        frmObj.target = "wnd1";

 

        frmObj.submit();

 

 

    page2.aspx is opening in a new window and i am able to fetch the page1 values. But Page_Load in page2.aspx is executing twice.

 

    Do you people have any idea regarding this. Plz let me know.
