<pages> tag in web.config
<pages> element is located at the below defined position in web.config <configuration> <system.web> <pages>
It contains a attribute called enableSessionState which specifies whether session state is enabled or not.
It can take following three values: true - Indicates that session state is enabled. false - Indicates that session state is not enabled.
