New Message on dotNET User Group Hyd Document Management Reply   Reply to Sender   Recommend Message 1 in Discussion From: kasichainula hello everybody, i am developing asp.net project In my applicaion there is some document management system is required,i mean file uploading and retrieving. for this i can use sharepoint portal,but our document management is not having that much flow where i can use sharepoint.now instead of using sharepoint i want to create a directory in my application(root directory) like ../Project Folder/Documents/file.doc now will it effect my application speed after having a Documents Folder in my project folder, which contains files and folders for document managing. now is there any alternative to store the files in any other location like in my project server path - c:\documents.but when i am uploading i cannot give c:\documents\file.doc in query b'cause it will search for the local directory so any solution to upload the documents to a physical path on to my project server. thank you, srikanth   View other groups in this category.
