Opening 1: Need 1 Oracle DBA
Manage the day-to-day business hour and non-prime on-call or call in
mission critical Internet Booking System and other critical Oracle
database environments. Setup and maintain Oracle parallel server in a
Sun cluster environment. Monitoring and tuning database, OS, and
cluster performance and capacity using Oracle and UNIX shell script.
Evaluate and recommend software and hardware components to improve
system performance. Setup backup and recovery strategy, and maintain
routine backup job, and perform recovery as needed. Write SQL and
PL/SQL to support marketing report needs. Coordinate with SA, vendor,
and all level users to solve any database related issues.
Opening 2: Need 1 SQL Server DBA
Same as for the Oracle DBA with the addition of MSSQL 6.5/7.0/2000
with proficiency and focus in the following areas: Transact-SQL, DTS,
Microsoft Cluster Service, Replication, Data Warehousing, Database
design/modeling, Backup/recovery management, SQL Server
installation/configuration/migration, Capacity planning and
Performance tuning.
