Actually I wanted to monitor multiple ports on different pcs (about 50) and check if there is any server running on them. I need to keep doing this continuously say for an hour or two. I need to run this application in background without consuming 100% processor. Is it possible to reduce the polling intensity when other applications begin using the processor.
