Well - if you really want to find out what the threads are, use WinDBG and run ~*kb which will dump all the call stacks. But anyway, here are the threads Thread 0 : Applications main thread (managed) Thread 1 : Debugger Runtime Controller thread (unmanaged) Thread 2 : Finalizer thread (managed) Thread 3 : Debugger thread (unmanaged) In your case, the UI must be creating another managed thread. And before you ask, these debug threads are created on release builds - they are used for stuff like the perf counters,etc. And if you want to find security bugs, why dont you look at the Rotor source code ?
