Hi, Here are my thoughts... JIT is slower than pre-compiled code because it have to compile to native machine code at runtime whereas the pre-compiled code is already compiled to native code. But JIT also uses caching mechanism which means when a module is compiled into native code once, it is cached and if someone calls that module again, JIT doesn't compile it again, rather it uses that cached native code. This gives a performance benefit. So the application execution is slow on its first execution but after that, it gives a good performance. -Rupreet |
