Hi Rajat, Content Management is a functionality that helps the user in creating many web pages of the same kind. 1. this technology is used in creating web pages 2. there are two versions of Microsoft Content Management Server [MCMS] MCMS 2001 and MCMS 2002 3. MCMS 2001 is supported by ASP and MCMS 2001 is supported by ASP .NET 4. both MCMS use MS SQL Server as the backend 5. The basic structure of a webpage [called the "Template" in CMS terminology] is designed in the ASP .NET web page 6. The content in those pages along with the formatting can be entered and saved... thus we can create multiple web pages based on the same template... This content is again stored in the SQL Server 7. This technology is used in applications/ web sites which have huge content pages and the basic look and feel of the web pages accross sites is maintained ... If you have more specific questions on MCMS then please feel free to ask Regards, Bhavin Mandan |
