Reply   Reply to Sender   Recommend Message 1 in Discussion From: dotNetSamurai Hi,   Can anyone tell me whether Nested Installations (initiating one MSI based inatallation from within another MSI installation) are possible in Windows Installer version 2/3  (using .NET Setup and Deployment Project)?? I am deployimg a ASP.NET web application using a Web Setup. I have created a Custom Action (actually a Console app) which initiates installation of MSDE instance (from within the original.outside installation.) The MSDE Installation fails sometimes with an Error message "Another Installation is already in progress. Complete that installation before proceeding with this install."
