Sealed is a modifier that is used to prevent derivation from the class. A sealed class can not be used as a base class. Also sealed class can not be an abstract class. Sealed class enables certain run-time optimizations. As it must never have any derived classes, it is possible to transform virtual function member invocations on sealed class instances into non-virtual invocations. In C#, structs are implicitly sealed, therefore, they cannot be inherited. Regards, Rajesh Khatri |
