IIS 2. .NET framework   As you are working on visual studio.net, frame work should be installed. Check whether your IIS is working or not. Try Kanchik feedback.   If localhost is working, Open your Internet Services Manager (type inetmgr @ run command) and check whether Webapplication1 folder is created or not?
