I think Rowfilter property can take anything which can be specified in a valid WHERE clause of an SQL query, except that you can not specify a sub query or inner query in the rawfilter property.
What I mean is you can specify "ColumnName NOT LIKE '%<%>%'" as a Dataview.RowFilter property, which will remove all the rows which have both "<" and ">" in the value of the ColumnName column. Since < and > are special characters used in SQL server, I am not sure above value for the RowFilter property will work or not. If it doesn't work, try enclosing the < and > symbols between the [ and ] brackets.
I hope this is the proper answer for your question. If you want any clarification just reply me back.

For eg if i have a column data like "Srinivas<>" or "<>" or "Srinivas((".Can i apply RowFilter property to filter the above data. I have tried with enclosing all the special characters with "[]" in the LIKE clause, for eg. "ColumnName LIKE '*Srinivas[<][>]*' but i'm not successful. Please let me know whether any restrictions are there in using some special characters.
