Many of you might know this but i request you to go through it, as it might help you. web server can be defined as the front-end of your hosting infrastructure. Web server is that,which is  directly connected to the Internet and is responsible for receiving requests from your clients, creating dynamic Web pages, and responding with the requested data.

  • Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS),which is a enterprise-level web server that is included in windoes 2000 O.S.
  • Microsoft personal web server (PWS), which is a scaled down version of IIS.
  • Apache web server maintained by Apache software foundation, is curently the most popular web server available, it runs on unix,linux and windows platforms.
