So there is an overhead with the first invocation of method.   using the Ngen(Native Image Generator) tool an assembly can be converted into its Native code or image. this means call to the Native image will load faster.   Limitations: native image that Ngen generates cannot be shared across Application Domains.       View other groups in this category.
