Hi, The easier way is to use forms authentication. Logically group the files in directories, and tweak with web.config in location tag as: <configuration> <system.web> <authentication mode="Forms"> <forms loginUrl="login.aspx" timeout="30"> <credentials passwordFormat="Clear"> <user name="<UserName>" password="<password>"/> <user name="<UName>" password="<pwd>"/> </credentials> </forms> </authentication> <authorization> <allow users="*" /> </authorization> </system.web> <location path="admin/"> <system.web> <authorization> <allow users="<UserName>" /> <deny users="<UName>" /> </authorization> </system.web> </location> </configuration>
And in code, you can implement something like, void LoginMe_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) { if (FormsAuthentication.Authenticate(txtUserName,txtPswd)) FormsAuthentication.RedirectFromLoginPage(txtUserName, true); else Response.Write("Not Authorized"); }
