Hello there!

I've just created a discussion channel for DoudouLinux on Freenode. It should
be a better way in the future to ask short questions or to discuss openly any
topic without the risk of making too much noise on the mailing list. For those
who don't know this service, this is kind of public instant messaging (IM)
system for a group of people.

Using any IRC client (most of full-featured IM client have an IRC client,
optional or native), you can open a session on chat.freenode.net and join our
channel, which is simply #doudoulinux. There is a web chat interface too:
http://webchat.freenode.net/. The principle is quite simple:

1. choose a nickname
2. create an IRC account in your IM client using the network “freenode”
3. once logged in freenode, join our channel with the command “/join
#doudoulinux”

Commands just need to be typed in the normal text entry of your IM interface,
the IRC server will immediately recognize its own commands. You can type the
command “/help” to get the list of allowed commands. My nickname is jmphilippe.
If you want to be the only one using your nickname, you'll have to register it
on freenode (which I've done).

Looking forward to read you on our fresh IRC channel! Of course I'm already
connected ;).

Cheers,
JM.
